Welcome to our diary of our trip to Barcelona, Spain.
It’s a city of 4.2 million people and we’re planning to live here for 10 months. We will make a ton of mistakes that will cost us a fortune but to have a don’t-give-a-damn attitude. We’ll fill you in on every powerful feeling, meaningful encounter and important learning experience, not to mention what really happens to us during our time in Barcelona.
So much has occurred. We’re writing this in Week 
8 and feel like we’ve only
been here seven weeks. Here we are in Girona with the entire family — note how carefully David is holding Rocket.
Here we are (below) in week 4 in the Uhlfelder News Production Center. Joshua is holding our certificate about having won the annual Uhlfelder News award given to a web site (second place). Later that same evening, the celebration continued with a meal on our deck overlooking Barcelona (photo on right) followed by strawberries and chocolate.

Hey Mark and Anne,
I was just thinking of you two and the boys, and found this blog. I’m living vicariously! Thanks for the great descriptions and photos. I miss you all.

Dear Anne, Mark, David, Joshua and Rocket.
Thank you for calling yesterday. Hope you had a happy Thanksgiving. We enjoyed a fabulous dinner with Matt and Ellen and Uncle Stuart and Aunt Anne and Hal too.
David and Joshua, the basketball hoop, swimming pool and horses are here for your use anytime. We look forward to a game a of foosh ball with you soon in Spain, Aspen or Florida.
We like your web page and appreciate the ease of interaction except it is still a bit challenging for us…

Hola! Que emocionantes sus viajes! Alfonso y yo disfrutamos muchisimo el blog. A Alfonso le gusta el equipo “Real Madrid” y esta muy triste que Barcelona cf esta en segunda posicion. El me esta ensenando el espanol – que suerte para mi! Estamos seguros que estan pasando un buen tiempo en Espana. Estoy muy celosa! Sabes que Alfonso es de Espana? De una ciudad se llama Alicante.
